ACU campuses buzzing as students roll in for another semester

More than 2,000 new students began their university experience last week as ACU’s seven campuses kicked off another bright semester.

The newly expanded ACU Melbourne campus welcomed 500 new students for Semester 2.

Among the 2,100 students beginning at ACU midyear, 500 of them are onshore international students.

Outside of regular lectures and classes, ACU students will have the opportunity to participate in national celebrations, including a university-wide NAIDOC Week celebration, and the inaugural ACU Mission Week, hosted on all campuses to celebrate the University’s distinctive mission.

Students, staff, and special guests also marked the 60th anniversary of Signadou campus on August 2.

Interest in ACU courses remains high, with more than 2,400 Year 12 students applying for the ACU Guarantee program to secure a place in their preferred degree.

ACU Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Zlatko Skrbis said students could expect an exciting second half of 2023.

“We warmly welcome our new students who are only just beginning their journey with us at ACU,” Professor Skrbis said.

“We are also excited to welcome back our current students.

“ACU is proud to have a vibrant community of diverse students and that we can help them realise their dreams.”
