ACU and CatholicCare Sydney have recently entered into a partnership which will deliver an innovative allied health service, focused on mission and Catholic Christian heritage.

Involving ACU’s six allied health disciplines, this creates an opportunity to provide an innovative, patient-centred service to the community, at the same time as benefiting the students who participate in service delivery.

The services aim for delivery in ACU’s new Blacktown campus facilities, through the creation of a client centric inter-professional centre to meet the needs of the surrounding community. Additionally both CatholicCare and ACU will seek to provide employment opportunities for students.

With the shared values of Catholic Social Teaching, the partnership will build a service that supports holistic and person-centred care of clients, upholding their dignity and respecting their participation in decisions about their care.

Consistent with the Catholic mission all activities will be ethically grounded ensuring high levels of trust both from within the service and externally.

The partnership is an example of an alignment of mission and ethical strategies between our organisations. ACU supports the mission and focus of a variety of organisations and can further projects across a number of jurisdictions in Australia and internationally.
