Successful completion of the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Educators (LANTITE) is a requirement for teacher accreditation and registration in Australia and is a condition of course completion at ACU.

Successful completion of both components of LANTITE (Literacy and Numeracy) is also a prerequisite for the last Professional Experience units in each course.  Please refer to your course rules and the Course Enrolment Guide for further details.

Please view ACU's LANTITE in Initial Teacher Education Courses page for more information.

Students starting in 2019 or later

  • LNTE110 is an internal diagnostic unit offered in multi-mode for students registered to a campus and in online mode for students enrolled in a fully online program.  Students must enrol in the correct mode for their program.
  • Students are not expected to attend on-campus lectures or tutorials in either mode.  Students enrolled in a multi-mode offering may be required to complete an assessment on campus.
  • Your results in the official LANTITE assessment administered by ACER will be recorded on your transcript under unit code LNTE111.
  • Both LNTE110 and LNTE111 are compulsory units in Initial Teacher Education degrees at ACU from 2019.  You need to enrol in each unit via Student Connect as per your course map.
  • LNTE*** units are 0-credit point units.  A LNTE*** unit may be the fifth unit required in a semester.

Students starting in 2018 or earlier

Your results in the official LANTITE assessment administered by ACER will be recoded on your transcript under unit codes LNTE100 (Literacy component) and LNTE101 (Numeracy component). These unit codes will be added to your transcript by ACU Systems.  You do not need to enrol in either unit code via Student Connect.
