What facilities are available?

For breaks between classes, study time and to stay healthy and well, we also have libraries, chapels, lecture theatres, bookstores, student association common areas, cafes, a rooftop bar in Melbourne, and gyms and pools on some campuses.

Our medical centres on select campuses have general practitioners available for appointments, and are also placement centres for many of our speech pathology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and exercise physiology students.

Our clinics are open to the community and ACU staff and students for consultations.

Each campus has state-of-the-art facilities designed for students to make the most of their degrees. Across our campuses you can expect to find nursing, midwifery, paramedicine and physiotherapy simulation wards and labs, biomechanics labs, early childhood teaching rooms, moot courts, visual art and media studios, training ambulances, and science laboratories.

The Brisbane Campus is located in Banyo, just 14 kilometres from Brisbane’s CBD. With sweeping city views, and expansive green spaces, it is a fantastic learning and social environment for all students.

Melbourne

Moments from the hustle and bustle of the Melbourne CBD, at our Melbourne Campus students will find modern and cosy spaces where they’ll attend classes and catch-up with friends. Our impressive Raheen Library is home to a large selection of learning materials and study rooms, as well as expert librarians to assist with assignments and research.

Ballarat

Across New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory we have four campuses: Blacktown, North Sydney, Strathfield and Canberra.

Blacktown

Our newest campus situated in Blacktown is in the midst of being brought to life. Situated directly across from Blacktown Train Station, the campus will be open for classes at the beginning of 2021. The Blacktown Campus is metres away from Westpoint Shopping Centre, the Max Weber Library, and only minutes from Raging Waters Sydney (Wet n’ Wild).

Canberra

Our Canberra Campus is on the outskirts of the CBD. Centred around the beautiful Veritas Building, the campus is home to many modern facilities including:

What on-campus accommodation and transport options are available?

Each ACU campus has a wide variety of accommodation and transportation options.

Melbourne: In Melbourne, situated on Franklin Street directly opposite Queen Victoria Market, students can stay in fully furnished, purpose-built student accommodation by IGLU. To get to campus, it’s a short tram ride or cycle down Victoria Parade.

Ballarat: Our Ballarat students can stay at our Camillus Residence, which is comprised of 16 modern homes, fully equipped with necessary and recreational amenities, surrounded by beautifully maintained native Australian gardens. Students also have the option to stay in managed residences, ideal for those who wish to live more independently. The campus, sporting grounds and gym facilities are all a bus ride away.

Our Brisbane Campus offers free parking for students, and a free shuttle bus service that collects students from Toombul and Northgate train stations, as well as Westfield Chermside Shopping Centre.

Our students live in a variety of accommodation options, from living at home to moving into a share-house with friends. We also work with IGLU accommodation in the Brisbane CBD that offers special discounted rates to ACU students and accommodation that is a short train ride away from our free pick-up bus service.

Sydney: The Miguel Cordero Residence (MCR) is based in Camperdown, Sydney. It sits opposite the Camperdown Oval, giving students full access to sporting fields, basketball courts, tennis courts and an outdoor gym. This accommodation is ideal for students studying at North Sydney, Strathfield and Blacktown.
