Honours Elite Football Code Research Scholarship

About this scholarship

Elite football-code athletes have extreme demands placed on them. There is a constant requirement to be bigger, faster, stronger. This development occurs off the playing fields when athletes are training and recovering. Therefore, optimising the strength and conditioning practices and methods that are used to facilitate recovery, are essential for physical performance. To improve our understanding of elite athlete performance, we have three Honours scholarship positions in Brisbane, Australia. These scholarships will enable the right candidates to work inside a professional football club completing applied research. Successful candidates will work in a team and will be alongside athletes daily. This scholarship is an excellent opportunity for students wanting to pursue a career in applied research in elite sport.
