Exercise Oncology, Exercise and Nutrition Research Program
Kelcey is currently completing her PhD under the supervision of Associate Professor Prue Cormie and Dr Eva Zopf. Kelcey’s research focus includes exploring the effect of exercise as a management strategy to counteract the burden of cachexia in patients with advanced cancer.
Prior to joining the exercise oncology team at the Mary MacKillop Institute for Health Research, Kelcey completed her Bachelor of Human Kinetics and Master of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of British Columbia in Canada. Kelcey has also previously worked as an exercise physiologist, pilates instructor and research trial coordinator. Over the past few years, she has been extensively involved in several research studies investigating the feasibility and efficacy of exercise in improving patient health following a cancer diagnosis.
