Research Fellow, Exercise and Nutrition Research Program
Dr Donny Camera is an emerging researcher in the field of skeletal muscle metabolism, with a focused interest on the molecular pathways regulating adaptation responses to exercise in human skeletal muscle. In 2011, he was awarded a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Dora Lush Post-Graduate Scholarship for his work investigating the impact of protein ingestion on muscle health following combined resistance and endurance exercise. Donny has presented at multiple national and international conferences, including an invited oral presentation at the European College of Sports Science (Liverpool, England). In 2013, Donny was awarded his PhD titled, ‘The Specificity of Training Adaptation in Skeletal Muscle.’ Donny currently supervises two PhD students and has a focused interest on the effects of fat ingestion on muscle metabolism.
