Exercise and Nutrition Research Program

Bill is currently studying “The Role of Omega-3 fatty acids on muscle growth and metabolism”. The objective of his thesis is to use a combination of in vivo and in vitro models to investigate how fish oil supplementation can assist in the regulation of skeletal muscle growth in response to exercise.

The findings of this thesis may have the potential to propose ways in which muscle mass loss due to age can be attenuated. Bill is under the supervision of Professor John Hawley, Dr Donny Camera and Dr Nolan Hoffman at The MacKillop.
