Aleksander Adamski

Religion and Theology

Location: ACU Melbourne Campus

Aleksander is a PhD candidate at LUMSA (Rome) and ACU (Melbourne), supervised by Stefano Biancu (LUMSA) and David Newheiser (ACU). Aleksander’s work has to do with nostalgia and Catholic notions of romance and reality in Žižek; he is also concerned with interpreting the Catholic tradition in terms of myth. These interests have led him to a re-reading of G.K. Chesterton, Hilaire Belloc, and Evelyn Waugh. Aleksander holds an MA in philosophy from the University of Warsaw. Some of his past areas of interest and work have included vol. 32 of Heidegger’s Gesamtausgabe, and the writings of Hermann von Keyserling.
