Improving children’s health through sustainable partnerships

The Institute for Positive Psychology & Education (IPPE) was awarded a $1.3m grant by the National Health and Research Council (NHMRC) to implement a professional development intervention for primary school teachers in NSW. The program is designed to enhance teachers’ confidence and competencies in classroom-based physical activities and school sport delivery in order to increase the time students spend doing moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA).

This project follows the successful iPlay pilot, funded by the NSW Department of Education.
