Charlotte’s research focusses on educational psychology and the wellbeing of others. In particular, her research aims to increase the wellbeing of schoolteachers and students.

Charlotte is originally from The Netherlands, but has visited Australia several times starting in 2007 with a road trip from Brisbane to Cairns. In 2009, Charlotte sailed a boat across the Gulf of Carpentaria, crossing the coast near the Gilbert River Mouth before heading inland towards Cairns. Her mathematical background helped her in steering through the rough waters and finding her way back to Cairns.
