Bessie Stone

PhD Candidate

Bessie Stone is a PhD candidate in the Institute for Learning Sciences & Teacher Education at the Australian Catholic University. Her research interest lies in the field of literacy and supporting the literacy and social communication and social interaction needs of students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The benefits and risks of multimodal engagements with online multiplayer games for the social interaction of students with ASD, is her current research focus. Bessie has previously completed a Master of Inclusive Education and a Bachelor of Education at the Queensland University of Technology. Her experiences in the education industry span over 15 years in Australia and the Caribbean, and range from early childhood to high school.
