Alysse Leicht

Research Assistant

Alysse has worked in a variety of educational contexts since completing her Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) with Distinction in 2010. She has worked across state, independent and Catholic schools as a classroom teacher, learning support aide and tutor. Her interest in working with children with special needs led her to undertake a Masters of Education (Special Education) which she completed in 2012. Alysse is currently studying towards a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) while working as both a research assistant and teacher. As a Research Assistant in ILSTE, Alysse works alongside Associate Professor Clarence Ng on a number of research projects associated with the Learning, Learning Diversity and Reforming Classroom Practices research concentration. Her work is driven by her passion for improving educational outcomes for students from disadvantaged backgrounds, including a particular interest in working with students with chronic and acute health conditions.
