EFTSL value of units : All 10cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a credit point (cp) value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.

Admission requirements

An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy. 

International applicants must also meet the English Language Proficiency requirements as defined in the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy. 

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites: 

Bachelor degree in Health or Information Technology 

OR 

Bachelor degree in any other field of study 

OR 

ACU’s Graduate Certificate in Digital Health 

NOTE: Applicants having completed ACU’s Graduate Diploma in Digital Health will be eligible for recognition of prior learning of up to 80 credit points. 

NOTE: Applicants having completed ACU’s Graduate Certificate in Digital Health will be eligible for recognition of prior learning of up to 40 credit points.

Completion requirements

Students admitted with a Bachelor degree in Health: 

2.1 Pathway 1 (120 cp)  

To qualify for the Master of Digital Health, a student must complete 120 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of: 

50 cp from Health Units (Part A) 

50 cp from IT Units (Part B) 

20 cp from Capstone units (Part F) 


2.2 Pathway 2 (160 cp) 

To qualify for the Master of Digital Health with a named specialisation in: 

  • Health Administration and Leadership 
  • Data Science 
  • Information Technology

a student must complete 160 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of: 

50 cp from Health Units (Part A) 

50 cp from IT Units (Part B) 

40 cp from one Specialisation group (Part C OR Part D OR Part E)  

20 cp from Capstone units (Capstone must be in the Specialisation) (Part F) 


Students admitted with a Bachelor degree in Information Technology: 

2.3 Pathway 3 (120 cp)  

To qualify for the Master of Digital Health, a student must complete 120 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:

2.6 Pathway 6 (160 cp) 

To qualify for the Master of Digital Health with a named specialisation in:

a student must complete 160 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of: 

50 cp from Health Units (Part A) 

50 cp from IT Units (Part B)

Exit points

Exit Point 

A student who has completed 40 cp of specified units from the Schedule of Unit Offerings may exit with the Graduate Certificate in Digital Health.  

A student from Pathway 1, 2, 5 or 6 who has completed 80 cp of specified units from the Schedule of Unit Offerings may exit with the Graduate Diploma in Digital Health. 

A student from Pathway 3 or 4 who has completed 60 cp of specified units and 20 cp of Elective units from the Schedule of Unit Offerings may exit with the Graduate Diploma in Digital Health. 

Progression requirements

Students are required to follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide, unless otherwise approved by the Course Coordinator. In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator.
