About the artwork:

The artwork was commissioned by ACU in celebration of International Women's Day. Created by artist Cassandra Gibbs, the artwork is entitled Naa-y Ganungawu Wirringgaa (Woman Come All). Cassandra started painting at the age of 16 and utilises art to explore her cultural identity as a Yuwalaraay/Gamilaraay woman. It depicts a story about women who have carved paths for those coming behind them, women who have walked difficult journeys alone and women who have been ground-breakers in the way forward for all women. The artwork celebrates togetherness and represents all the ways in which women gather and provide strength and guidance to one another.
