Primary and Middle Years Technologies Professional Learning Workshops F – 7
The Faculty of Education and Arts on our Brisbane campus is running a series of Professional Learning Workshops to support primary and middle years teachers implementing the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) Technologies Curriculum (Design and Technologies and Digital Technologies).
Developed and facilitated by ACU Education Academics and assisted by current ACU students, these workshops will allow educators to get hands-on with tech and provide practical ideas and resources to use within the classroom immediately.
Each workshop will be two-hours in duration and held after-school hours, commencing in Term 1, 2018. Updates on the series of 8 workshops will be released throughout the school year.
For more information about each workshop and to register please see below or contact firstname.lastname@example.org
In this hands-on workshop, participants will utilise animation and editing software while exploring the topic of robotics in society.
Participants will experiment and program with Ozobots in this cross-curricular workshop which will combine elements of HASS and Technologies.
Prototyping, design thinking and sustainability are all covered in this workshop where participants will be taken through the design process and discover how littleBits can support a creative response to an authentic design challenge.
