Meet the 2020 GCTS (Liturgy) Graduates

Maria Forde.

Maria Forde

Maria Forde is a singer, teacher and presenter working in Catholic schools around Victoria and Australia. Maria looks forward to using her newly acquired liturgical knowledge in her school and parish ministries

Alessio Loiacono.

Alessio Loiacono

Alessio Loiacono completed the Graduate Certificate in Theology (Liturgical Studies) at ACU during 2018-2019. The course assists him in his work as a liturgical musician both in schools and parishes, as well as work as the Music Field Officer for the Centre for Liturgy – Archdiocese of Perth. He has found it to be helpful because of the significant emphasis placed on the practical aspects of preparing liturgy which balances the theoretical and theological components.

Christopher Larter

Christopher Larter, an Australian Pastoral Musicians Network 2015 Scholarship recipient, completed the Graduate Certificate in Theological Studies (Liturgy) at ACU between July 2016 – July 2019. Christopher works as the Parish Secretary at Our Lady of Graces Parish in Carina (Archdiocese of Brisbane). Christopher is also an active member of the Liturgical Music Team and Liturgy Committee in the Parish of Corinda Graceville and assists with Liturgical Music in other Brisbane parishes. These graduate certificate studies have enabled Christopher to gain an in-depth knowledge of liturgical practices and how they can be applied to promote good liturgy in the parish setting.
