Our short courses in theology offer you the opportunity to explore Christian faith and world religions without committing to a full degree. If you’re teaching religious education or working in a Catholic school, you’ll gain hours towards your professional development accreditation. 

A Synodal Church: Its Origins, History, Present and Future

Dates: Thursdays 4, 11 and 18 May 2023

Time: Commences at 6pm (light meal included), lecture from 6.30 – 8pm 

Session titles:

4 May – Rev Dr Michael Trainor: Synodality: Early Christian Origins

11 May – Rev Dr James McEvoy: Pope Francis and the Synodal Journey

18 May – Dr Jo Laffin: Synodality Through History

Venue: ACU Adelaide Leadership Centre, Room 7, 116 George Street, Thebarton

Cost: $50 per person (attendance only)

$100 per person (includes a certificate of participation for accreditation purposes)

Free for all current ACU staff and students (not requiring a certificate of participation).

Accreditation: A certificate of participation is issued to teachers for CEO System Accredited Module Status.
