Description

St Canice’s Kitchen is an initiative of St Canice’s Parish and has been operating as a soup kitchen for over 25 years, serving meals to those who are experiencing homelessness and/or poverty. St Canice’s Kitchen hopes that those who visit the kitchen also come to receive friendship, comfort and respect. The Kitchen operates with the support of volunteers.

A community engagement day is likely to be structured in this way:

9-10am - preparing meals in kitchen. Mostly sandwiches, sometimes soups.
11am-12:30pm – serving food to patrons.
12:30-1pm – pack up.
