The Migrant Youth Vision Program (MYVP) links young people to education, training, employment, and sport. It works to understand the needs and goals of each individual to develop motivated, skilled, focused individuals who are ready to participate in these areas of the community.

Position Description

Students will assist with Employment Drop-in sessions to help refugee youth develop resumes, cover letters, search for job opportunities, apply for jobs and provide support as necessary.

Operating dates and times

Mondays and Tuesdays weekly from 3.00pm – 5:30pm
Mondays: Inala PCYC
Tuesdays: Brisbane Multicultural Centre
*Students do not need to attend both days

Position Requirements

  • Current Blue Card
  • Literacy with Microsoft Word
  • Cross-cultural and working with refugee and migrant youth training sessions
  • All applicants must provide a resume and cover letter outlining skills and motivations relevant to supporting refugee youth to secure employment
