Future Pathways engages young people 15-25 who work, live or play in Yarra. This program provides individual support to young people who would like help finding a job and building job readiness skills, those who need advice with career pathways, educational pathways and the options available to them. 

Future Pathways offers one on one support with:

  • Building the skills and confidence needed to gain and maintain employment
  • Applying for TAFE or university
  • Connecting young people with employment, education and training opportunities
  • Helping young people understand pathways into education and training
  • Creating or update resumes
  • Writing effective cover letters
  • Applying for jobs, internships or apprenticeships
  • Developing interview skills and confidence
  • Understanding workplace expectations
  • Training – RSA, First Aid, Barista Training, food handlers
  • Understanding workplace expectations.
  • Career and industry advice 

Requirements

When and where

Meeting Room One, Fitzroy Library, 128 Moor Street Fitzroy

Wednesday 11th September until the end of the school term.

The individuals need to be available Wednesdays between 3:30 - 7:00 pm and be able to do 1-2 hours of program preparation work throughout the week (from home).
