Donate professional attire to help empower men and women experiencing disadvantage to achieve economic independence.

From 1-22 October ACU Engagement will be collecting donations of:

Clothing

Clean and well maintained smart casual men’s and women’s clothing suitable for work or job interviews. All sizes needed (plus sizes particularly desirable):

  • Suits
  • Shirts
  • Dresses
  • Pants
  • Skirts etc.

Accessories

Good condition men’s and women’s accessories such as:

  • Handbags
  • Backpacks
  • Shoes
  • Belts
  • Ties
  • Cuff links etc.

Toiletries

New, unopened toiletries such as:

  • Makeup
  • Deodorant etc

 

Get involved

Each ACU campus has partnered with local community organisations to ensure that donations directly meet the needs of our local communities. These important programs strive to empower disadvantaged women and men to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help thrive in work and life.

Women’s items donated at the Ballarat campus will be given to Dress for Success and men’s to Smart Blokes. Dress for Success have specifically requested larger sizes of clothing and Smart Blokes are in need of men’s shoes, particularly larger and smaller sizes.

We are also looking for volunteers to help sort the items and prepare them for donation to our community organisations. Volunteers are welcome on all campuses and sorting will take place between Wed 23 and Fri 25 October.
