Spread some Christmas cheer through small donations during the season of Advent.

During Advent ACU Engagement and Campus Ministry collect donations for community members experiencing disadvantage at Christmas time. Donations collected at each campus will be given to local community organisations to meet a specific community need and spread some Christmas cheer.

Specific donation requests

  • Non-perishable food items such as biscuits, condiments, sauces and jam.
  • Good quality tinned food.
  • Toiletries.
  • Items for Christmas hampers such as mince pies and puddings.
  • Gifts for children up to 12 years of age.
  • Supermarket gift vouchers.

Donations will be collected for The Romero Centre to support those seeking asylum in the Brisbane area.

Specific donation requests

  • Toiletries such as handwash, shampoo, shower gel, toilet paper and deodorant.
  • Go card (with $20 credit).
  • Staple food items such as sugar, oil, flour, rice, coffee, tea and jam.
  • Good quality tinned goods such as ham, fruit, long-life custard, chutney or relish.
  • Christmas themed foods such as Christmas cake, shortbread and lollies.
  • Supermarket gift vouchers.

  • Games (board games, puzzles, card games)
  • Sporting equipment
  • Craft or science kits
  • Beauty products for teenage girls (eg. Curling wand, hair straightener, makeup sets, hair accessories etc)

  • Sparkling apple juice or other soft drinks.
  • Christmas-themed bonbons, paper plates, paper tablecloths and serviettes.
