From December 2 - 13 ACU Engagement and Campus Ministry are collecting donations for those who are doing it tough at Christmas time. Donations collected at each campus will be given to local community organisations to meet a specific community need. Donations will be collected for The Reverse Advent Calendar Box. They have specifically requested:

  • Non-perishable food items such as biscuits, condiments, sauces and jam.
  • Good quality tinned food.
  • Items for Christmas hampers such as mince pies and puddings.
  • Supermarket gift vouchers.

Donations will be collected for The Romero Centre to support those seeking asylum in the Brisbane area. They have specifically requested:

  • Toiletries such as handwash, shampoo, shower gel, toilet paper and deodorant.
  • Go card (with $20 credit).
  • Staple food items such as sugar, oil, flour, rice, coffee, tea and jam.
  • Good quality tinned goods such as ham, fruit, long-life custard, chutney or relish.
  • Christmas themed foods such as Christmas cake, shortbread and lollies.
  • Supermarket gift vouchers.

  • $20 vouchers for older children (eg. movies, JB Hi Fi, Smiggle, Westfield)
  • Construction sets (like lego)
  • Make believe play (dress ups, trucks, dolls, cooking sets etc)
  • Games (board games, puzzles, card games)
  • Sporting equipment
  • Craft or science kits
  • Beauty products for teenage girls (eg. Curling wand, hair straightener, makeup sets, hair accessories etc)

  • Supermarket gift vouchers.

  • Christmas condiments, sauces and jams.

  • Biscuits (sweet and savoury).
  • Sparkling apple juice or other soft drinks.
  • Christmas-themed bonbons, paper plates, paper tablecloths and serviettes.
  • $20 Supermarket vouchers (Coles, Woolworths or IGA).
