Teaching Organisation This unit involves 150 hours of focused learning. The total includes formally structured learning activities such as lectures, tutorials, online learning, video-conferencing, or supervision. The remaining hours typically involve reading, research, and the preparation of tasks for assessment.

In this unit, students will examine contemporary models, theories and practices of leadership in Catholic health and aged care, community care and social welfare. Concepts relating to formative and prophetic leadership strategies and skills will be considered in relation to the dynamic nature of Catholic health and aged care, community care and social welfare services, as well as to the values, concerns and interests of various stakeholders. Leadership styles appropriate for the stewardship of Catholic health and aged care, community care and social welfare ministries will be analysed and evaluated.
