POLS308 Politics and Public Policy

This unit provides an overall framework for analysing and understanding the processes and politics of public policy making. It will examine how certain issues reach the public policy agenda and how politics can shape these processes. Key themes may include public action, agenda setting, institutional pathways, networks, citizen engagement and accountability. These themes will be considered through a range of case study materials on topics such as Indigenous affairs, education, urban affairs, health and the environment.
