LMGT607 Supply Chain Performance Management

10 cp
Prerequisites LGMT606 Network Planning
Teaching Organisation 3 hours per week (two hours of lectures and one hour of tutorial) for 12 weeks or equivalent in intensive mode or online.

The success of a supply chain ultimately depends upon its ability to satisfy consumer demand. Whilst the mechanics of how supply chains work may be straightforward, variability and complexity combine to challenge consistent levels of performance. In addition the time lag between making decisions and seeing the resultant outcome can be considerable and during this period many things can change to disguise performance issues. Supply chain performance depends not only on the performance of a single organisation but on the smooth integration of several different organisations perhaps with conflicting interests and objectives. This unit is designed to provide an understanding of how a supply chain performance environment can be established and how it can be managed and be continually improved.
