LMGT320 Supply Chain Process Management

10 cp
Prerequisites: LMGT202 Supply Chain Strategy, LMGT301 Supply Chain Demand Management
Teaching Organisation 3 hours per week for a twelve week period or equivalent.

This Unit introduces students to the concepts of managing processes in the supply chain. In today’s highly competitive global market, organisations must continually assess, adjust and redefine themselves to win new orders, please existing customers and stay competitive. New markets rapidly opening up and new competition entering existing markets are creating dynamic conditions that necessitate the development and adjustment of business processes.

Business process management is not a new concept but the challenges of the supply chain require special attention. Supply chain processes must integrate and synchronise activities. Frequently, they require collaborative activity with partners who may be geographically remote with different cultures and languages. This Unit explores these special considerations.
