HIST105 Early Modern Europe

Teaching Organisation 3 hours per week for twelve weeks or equivalent of on-campus lectures and tutorials.

This unit covers major themes in European history from the beginning of the early modern period (ca. 1500) through to the latter half of the Eighteenth Century (ca. 1789). Students will be introduced to major developments in early modern Europe during this period such as changing religious beliefs; issues of politics and power; cultural and intellectual life; economics and technological trends and the articulation of a larger development of European identity and power in an international context.
