Teaching Organisation 2 hours per week for twelve weeks, or equivalent. The unit may be offered on-campus and online.

This unit explores the fundamental religious and theological questions arising from the challenges of the empirical sciences. To that purpose it addresses the following issues: astronomy and the doctrine of creation; quantum physics and the nature of reality; evolution and continuing creation; genetics, neuroscience and human nature; the laws of nature and the activity of God; the promise of nature and eschatology. It also compares and contrasts the distinctive methods by which science, theology and religion arrive at their respective conclusions.
