THEO636 Prophetic and Wisdom Literature

Teaching Organisation 2 hours per week for twelve weeks or equivalent. The unit may be offered on-campus and online.

This unit will introduce students to the heritage of a combination of the prophetic and wisdom traditions enshrined in the completed Old Testament. The basis of comparison will be a major prophetical book and a wisdom book in a study of the completed biblical books. The post-exilic interpretation of pre-exilic prophetic or wisdom traditions will be examined.
