Teaching Organisation This unit is equivalent to 150 hours of focused learning. These may include lectures, seminars and workshops, and mixed modes.

Contemporary churches are challenged by the lack of theological and biblical literacy of many of their members. The teaching ministry has taken on a new significance in helping to address this issue. This unit responds by providing students with an introduction to the diversity and importance of the teaching ministry in the contemporary church, giving students the opportunity to grapple with crucial issues relating to the development of an effective teaching ministry, and providing basic training in teaching skills. In addition to the development and honing of specific teaching skills applicable to all students enrolled in this unit, there is also a strong research focus for postgraduate students.
