PSYC647 Advanced Educational and Developmental Assessment

Prerequisites PSYC630 Psychological Assessment and PSYC645 Learning Processes and Problems
Teaching Organisation 2 hours per week for twelve weeks or equivalent.

This unit provides a consolidation and advancement of assessment in Educational and Developmental Psychology. The contents are applied. The unit will focus on vocational assessment and on special issues in the assessment of children, adolescents and adults. Content areas of assessment will vary across topics of interest to students (for example, vocational assessment and assessment of disabilities). A range of methods involved in data gathering when performing assessments relevant to Educational and Developmental Psychology will be considered. The unit will also address specific considerations the assessment of Indigenous Australians and culturally and linguistically different groups.
