PSYC630 Psychological Assessment

Teaching Organisation 3 hours per week for twelve weeks or equivalent.

This unit covers principles and methods of behavioural, psychometric and clinical assessment across the lifespan, with focus on the importance of developmental-systems, models and cultural sensitivity in assessment of significant problems. The unit is designed to familiarise students with the major methods of evaluating cognitive functioning and behavioural/emotional adjustment of infants, children, adolescents and adults. The unit is also designed to assist students in gaining skills in the evaluation, administration, interpretation and integration of the diverse information involved in psychological assessment.
