This unit provides any student an understanding of basic economics and business forces driving e-business. One of the most important aspects of our daily lives is the collective transition to an Internet-based society. As a result, during the last few years, e-commerce and e-business have received a great deal of attention. E-Business refers to the digital enabling of transactions and processes within a firm, involving information systems under the control of the firm. It is creating new electronic markets where prices are more transparent, markets are global and trading is highly efficient. E-business is having a direct impact on the firm's relationship with suppliers, customers, competitors, and partners, as well as how firms market products, advertise and use brands.
