EXSC385 Challenges and Opportunities in the Health of Young People

Teaching Organisation 150 hours of focused learning.

The unit provides students with the ability to understand and evaluate protective and risk factors as well as resilience in adolescence from a socio-cultural perspective of health. Students will examine and interpret health-behaviour theories and principles of harm minimisation strategies as applied to the young people. In addition, the unit will provide students with an appreciation of social justice, an understanding of equity and a respect for the human person.
