EXSC314 Healthy Relationships for Young People

Teaching Organisation 150 hours of focused learning.

The unit provides students with an appreciation of the complex issues surrounding sexuality and relationships for young people. Students will analyse healthy communication strategies and the importance of connectedness in terms of social health and wellbeing. Social learning theory and media advocacy approaches will be assessed for their ability to facilitate positive behaviour change in young people. The unit will also provide students with an appreciation of social justice, an understanding of equity and a respect for the human being.
