EXSC202 Journeying in the Natural World

Prerequisites EXSC201 Foundations of Outdoor Experience
Teaching Organisation 150 hours of focused learning.

This unit will enable students to examine their relationship with the natural world. Environmental interpretation and its place in the outdoor experience will be introduced while students are introduced to fundamental skills that will enable them to move through and live in the outdoors in an independent and self-contained manner. They will have the opportunity to apply these skills in a variety of settings progressing in line with their skill development. They will develop a comprehensive understanding of the social, environmental and physical factors associated with pursuing a number of physical pursuits in different outdoor settings.
