Offers will depend on the number and quality of applications received. CAP remains a competitive process for high demand courses, especially in health sciences.

When will CAP applications be open?
Applications for CAP 2019 open at 10 am on Tuesday 1 May and close on Tuesday 31 July 2018. Late applications cannot be accepted.
Can I submit more than one application for CAP?
Only one CAP application will be considered. If you submit an additional application it will not be accepted. If you’ve volunteered for a lot of activities you can submit an additional community experience statement within your application, so you can tell us about everything you’ve done.
How and when will I know if my CAP application is successful?
You will receive an email with the outcome of your application in late August.
Can I apply for CAP if I'm an international student?
Yes, but only if you are currently completing a Year 12 program in Australia and are applying through QTAC, UAC or VTAC.
Is CAP open for postgraduate courses?
No, CAP is only available for undergraduate bachelor degrees at ACU.
What do I need to do if I receive a CAP offer?
You need to include your CAP course in your application to your local tertiary admissions centre (QTAC, UAC or VTAC). You must also satisfy any prerequisite/s and/or additional entry requirements for your course AND meet the University's minimum CAP eligibility score.
Will adjustment factors be considered?
For most courses the answer is yes. Any adjustment factors added to your ATAR/OP/Selection Rank will be included when considering the minimum entry score requirement. The only exception is for teaching/education courses in Victoria where you will require a raw ATAR of 65.00.
I have undertaken several community experience activities - can I include them all in my CAP application?
I have undertaken work experience in Year 11 or 12 - can I include this in my CAP application?
No, work experience is not considered as voluntary community experience for CAP.
I have significant sporting achievements and am involved in school sport - can I include this in my CAP application?
Yes, but only if your sporting achievements and commitments have involved community service like significant demonstrated fundraising for your sporting club or association, coaching in your sport, or involvement with organising/managing your local sporting club or association.
I have a part-time job - can I include this in my CAP application?
No, paid employment is not considered as voluntary community experience for CAP.
I am a current ACU student - can I apply for CAP?
Yes. You should select ACU as your Application Mode in the online application.
How long does my CAP community experience statement need to be?
Your statement can be no longer than 200 words (1500 characters) long. Try to be as concise as you can and only include the most relevant information to support your activities.
