Bachelor of Business student Nick Darlington wanted to push his boundaries and experience a different culture, so he applied for an overseas exchange: six months at the Lille School of Management in the Nord- Pas de-Calais region, France.
Exchange student Nick Darlington“ACU was really helpful in ensuring that the subjects I studied overseas would count towards my degree,” he said. “In France, I had to work hard to keep up as the program was in intensive mode, but I ended up getting good results.”
The Lille School of Management made it easy for Nick to settle in organising comfortable accommodation and a bank account.
“Orientation Week was massive and really reinforced what an international school Lille is,” he said. “It was a real melting pot with people from all over the world and from all different backgrounds coming together.
“The whole town is an education hub so the atmosphere was always great. I have no doubt I’ll stay in contact with the friends I made there: we’re spread out across the world now but have shared this unique experience.”
