Eligibility Requirements

Scholarships for Indigenous Students

Applicants must:

  • be of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent and identify as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
  • be enrolled or about to commence study in an undergraduate course or a graduate diploma (or equivalent postgraduate course of study) in an area of National Priority
  • be enrolled as a Commonwealth supported student for that course of study
  • must not have completed the requirements of a course of study equivalent to or higher than an Australian bachelors award unless such an award is a prerequisite  to your current undergraduate course of study or your current course is in the area of  National Priority
  • demonstrate financial hardship and
  • be enrolled, or about to commence study as a full time student (exceptional circumstances may be considered for part time study).

Institution Equity Scholarships at ACU

Applicants must:

  • be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident of Australia
  • be enrolled or about to commence study in an undergraduate course or a graduate diploma (or equivalent postgraduate course of study) in an area of National Priority
  • be enrolled as a Commonwealth supported student for that course of study
  • must not have completed the requirements of a course of study equivalent to or higher than an Australian bachelors award unless such an award is a prerequisite  to your current undergraduate course of study or your current course is in the area of  National Priority
  • demonstrate financial hardship and
  • be enrolled, or about to commence study as a full time student (exceptional circumstances may be considered for part time study).
