DOOLEYS Lidcombe Catholic Club Undergraduate Bursaries
Established in 1995 and donated by DOOLEYS Lidcombe Catholic Club Ltd, this bursary is designed to financially assist undergraduate students, suffering financial hardship, to continue their studies.
Ten bursaries valued at $2,500 are available each year, paid in one lump sum.
This bursary is open to applicants who meet all of the following criteria:
- Undergraduate students
- Studying at the Strathfield or North Sydney Campus.
The following documents must be submitted with the application:
- A written statement of approximately 200 words outlining what new opportunities the bursary will provide the applicant.
- Evidence of financial need.
Applications are assessed based on the strength of the following criteria:
- Written statement
- Financial need
- Preference to students from Western Sydney.
The recipients will be selected by the Scholarships Office.
Recipients are requested to submit a letter of appreciation for the donor explaining how the Bursary has assisted them. The letter should be submitted to the Scholarships Office no later than 1 October of each year.
For the purpose of these rules, Western Sydney comprises the 13 local government areas of Cumberland, Blacktown, City of Parramatta, Canterbury Bankstown, Campbelltown, Camden, Fairfield, Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Liverpool, The Hills, Penrith, and Wollondilly.
