Prof Linda Briskman

Linda Briskman has had a distinguished career as a practitioner, researcher and activist in the spheres of Indigenous policy and practice, asylum seekers and refugees, professional ethics and rural issues.

She has published extensively on these topics and works collaboratively with a range of community groups on human rights and social justice concerns. She is the convenor of a citizen's inquiry into immigration detention, auspiced by the Australian Council of Heads of Schools of Social Work. These interests are reflected in her teaching areas, which include Indigenous Studies, Advocacy and Social Action and Critical Social Work.
