ACU recognises there are a number of alternative qualifications – such as life skills, work experience or study the TAFE – that can help you gain entry to university. Click on each of the areas listed below for further information.
Entry based on secondary study
To apply for entry to an undergraduate course with secondary study results, simply visit your relevant TAC and apply online.
Entry based on tertiary study or alternate entry
To be a successful tertiary student, it is not necessary for you to have completed Year 12 or have any formal academic qualifications.
ACU offers a range of access schemes that are available to University applicants who meet certain criteria:

Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT)
The Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) is a multiple choice aptitude test that helps applicants to demonstrate their potential for tertiary study.
ACU’s pathway programs
Pathway programs allow you to develop skills and make the transition into university study as easily as possible.
When you successfully finish a pathway course and achieve the necessary grades, you may be eligible to gain entry into ACU undergraduate courses
