Applicants with vocational education and training (VET) study
Competency-based and graded AQF certificates III (for current Year 12 applicants only) and certificate IV (if completed), AQF diplomas and sub-degree level study (based on level, duration, Grade Point Average (GPA)) will be assigned a selection rank.
We currently consider AQF certificate III studies for Year 12 applicants only. This qualification can be given its own selection rank separate from, and in addition to, an OP or ATAR.
For applicants who have completed VET studies and want to apply for entry to a bachelor course, there are two alternative methods of applying:
Apply via a TAC and the VET studies will be assigned a selection rank. Applicants may also use alternative entry pathways such as employment experience and the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT).
Apply through ACU directly if the VET studies are recognised in a credit transfer partnership agreement which includes a guaranteed articulation pathway between ACU and accredited VET institution.
We have a large number of partnership agreements with TAFE, ACUcom and other private education providers, both locally and internationally. Agreements can include guaranteed entry and/or credit for VET studies, and provide a pathway into a related ACU course.
