Student Connect - Noticeboard

This Noticeboard is updated regularly and is an important source of information about your studies. Please read these notices before scrolling to the bottom of the page where you will find the link to enter Student Connect.


Your Student Number is confidential. Please ensure that you do not provide your Student Number to a third party except for University administration purposes and that you keep your Student Card in a safe place.


Examinations

Students are reminded to regularly check their Personal Examination Timetable, as the timetable may change due to unforeseen circumstances. Personal Examination Timetables provide the date, day, time, room and duration of the examination.

Students are encouraged to review the information provided on the Examinations What you need to Know web page.

If you need to defer examinations this semester, please read the information provided on the Deferred Examinations web page.

Fees Related Information

Students should check "My Fees" for their account balance and make payments prior to the due date if amounts are outstanding.

2009 Spring Term A Commonwealth Assistance Notices

  • Are available on Student Connect

 NOTE: Students who have updated their browser to Internet Explorer 7 may have trouble downloading their Commonwealth Assistance Notice. Students who require a copy of their Commonwealth Assistance Notice urgently should email the Student Centre on their campus to request a hard copy.

eLearning

Find out about eLearning and how to work online by completing the Student Tutorial. Visit the Student eLearning Tutorial page for the 'Getting Started Document' (PDF File, 352.7 kb) Uploaded 19 Dec 2008

Then log into Blackboard and complete the Quick Module – this will get you up to speed quickly so you can use Blackboard to help you learn online.

Fully online students can access their online units through the eLearning page. Fully online units will be available the first week of semester unless determined otherwise by your Lecturer-in-Charge.

Timetabling and Tutorial Direct

Semester 2 2009 Timetables will be published on 19 June 2009 (TBC).

Tutorial Direct has been closed for Semester 1 2009. Read only access is available on the Tutorial Direct page.

Attention students who hold a Resolution of Status (Class CD) Visa

Regulation 1.03 of the Migration Regulations 1994 (made under the Migration Act 1958) has been amended to define the Resolution of Status (Class CD) visa as a permanent humanitarian visa with retrospective effect from 9 August 2008.

As a result of the amendment, holders of this visa are able to access HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP assistance under the Higher Education Support Act 2003

If you are a holder of this visa and you lodged a Request for Commonwealth Support and HECS-HELP or Request for FEE-HELP Assistance form on or after 9 August 2008 (and meet all other eligibility criteria, including lodging the request on or before the census date) you may lodge a request to be considered retrospectively for HELP.  You must attach a certified copy of your visa to your request and send to the Enrolments Fees and Scholarships Section, Student Administration, Locked Bag 4115, Fitzroy, Victoria, 3065 or alternatively provide it to the Student Centre on your campus.
