"Offering e-learning is an exciting development for Australian Catholic University with its six campuses and off-campus teaching in Australia and offshore. The University is committed to building communities of scholars and also to embracing new technologies to foster learning. Our online education initiative allows us to do both: for the first time to interact with students off campus simultaneously with students on campus; to allow students to access learning resources 24 x 7.
One of the most exciting applications has been to offer university studies to refugees on the Thai-Burma border - realising through e-learning our mission of building capacity for the disadvantaged.
