Strategies for success in online study
These strategies will guide you to success in being an online learner:
- Be organised - ensure you have all your study resources on hand by beginning of semester
- Organise a quiet place for your online study where you will not be interrupted
- Ensure you can log on and confidently navigate and participate in your online unit - find out how to get technical help if needed
- Manage your time - plan your study sessions and review your study plan regularly to complete tasks on time
- Interact regularly and frequently with your lecturer and fellow students
- Get help with study skills if needed (e.g. effective reading, assignment writing, referencing)
- Learn how to access and use the online library.
- Ask for help as soon as you need it – don't wait until a crisis
