Support for your students
Apart from the Student eLearning Tutorial, the Academic Skills Unit provides support for students in online learning.
Learning resources
Study Tips & Techniques gives your students access to a range of pamphlets on study, information about The ACU Study Guide, and additional resources on referencing and writing.
For information about online Blackboard modules developed by Academic Skills in collaboration with academic staff, you will need to contact the Manager of the Academic Skills Unit.
Individual support for students
Ask an Adviser is an online service that students can use to ask an Academic Skills Adviser about effective study techniques and strategies for writing and academic referencing.
Students can also book an individual consultation through Make an Appointment . For online students, this will mean that an Academic Skills Adviser is available for a telephone or email consultation with a student at a time selected by the student.
Students can email samples of writing to an Academic Skills Adviser for advice and information on appropriate writing style and expression, structure, and referencing method. However, Academic Skills Advisers cannot proofread or edit students' work.
