What is The Big Event 2010?

The Big Event 2010 (TBE2010) is a national student conference that occurs every two years. This year, TBE2010 will be held over four days in Melbourne from Friday, 2 July to Monday, 5 July 2010. You can expect a time of friendship, fun and faith, and will walk away feeling refreshed and renewed.

TBE2010 is the event of Australian Catholic University's calendar; a festival of music, talks, life, workshops, sharing and prayer, organised by the Office of Identity and Mission and ACUNSA. Don't miss out. Bring a friend along; there will be between 200-250 ACU students from every campus across Australia.

What is the theme?

The focus of all activities is hope, specifically A future with hope (Jer 29:11). Are you looking for hope? Do you want to make a difference? If yes to either of these two questions, then TBE2010 is for you.

What happens at TBE2010?

Students participate in workshops, listen to inspiring key-note speakers, discuss and debate a variety of issues on justice, life, being a witness. We also go out, enjoy social activities, take time out to relax and offer time for reflection and prayer.

What does it cost?

The cost per student is $300 inclusive of flights, accommodation, activities and all meals. Costs are subsidised by Australian Catholic University to ensure TBE2010 is affordable for all students.

Who can come?

All students are welcome.
