ACU Football Club is the university’s first community club. The club was established to provide a women’s football program that services both the student body and local community, with the primary focus to promote women’s participation in sport.
Our strategic approach to long term club success is built on the foundation of eight fundamental areas. It begins with our physical and human infrastructures – training facilities and effective governance. This is complemented by support services for our players, and a self-sufficient financial model overseen by the University.
Our eight fundamental areas include:
Top class infrastructure
We foster a special environment to develop female footballers of the highest order, while providing our players the opportunity to receive a university education.
ACU aims to be a leader in the world of women’s football. We will focus our resources in the production of players of the highest quality by delivering a program driven by top quality coaches. It is our long term goal to produce outstanding individuals and leaders, on and off the football field.
As a club we will align to ACU’s Mission:
Within the Catholic intellectual tradition and acting in Truth and Love, Australian Catholic University is committed to the pursuit of knowledge, the dignity of the human person and the common good. In the ACU Mission, the Australian Catholic University engages the Catholic Intellectual Tradition to bring a distinct perspective to higher education.”
